Orange represents feeling energetic and determination. Which is linked to sports!

The first thing that comes to mind when we think of an orange object - apart from an actual orange - is a basket ball!

This shoot was very difficult as the other props I got to go with the ball did mot match the colours. I made a sports band out of an orange microfibre cloth, by cutting it and sewing it into a band with elastic, but the day of the shoot the colours did not match up. I would have gotten an actual sports band but I was on limited time as the studio was going to close due to the corona virus outbreak.

The best way we decided to get the photo is to put the ball in front of her face. It was effective but as I look closer the ball is slightly off centre and the hands are at different heights. I don’t know if I will be able to recreate this photo again since I cannot get to the studio.

For this photo I used an A1 sheet of orange paper for the background, and a basket ball from Tesco for the prop, and an orange t-shirt from Primark.

Editing - Adobe Photoshop CC 2018 - Cropped and adjusted the brightness and vibrance. I also filled in black where the lines on the ball had been missed, and got rid of the models hair poking out at the top.
