Cheers

Updated: Apr 6

Red is the colour of romance and love, so what else symbolises a date night like red wine?

for this shoot I wanted to create a romantic atmosphere. Red seemed to be the hardest out of all the colours, which was surprising because its the one I had the most ideas for. None of them seemed to work, so this is where I had to get creative with the wine glass.

I wanted it to look like model is giving a clink to the viewer, yet you can still see her face and a hint of the red lipstick.

The other problem I had is that I could not get my settings or set up right to get the glass and the model in focus, although I think it works better with the glass out of focus, since all your focus goes to the models face which is framed, and just off centre because you need to see that she is holding the glass. (Although I was holding the glass, to get my angles correct).

For this shoot I used an A1 sheet of red paper for the background, a wine glass from Matalan and oasis juice for the ‘wine’. Also red eyeshadow and red lipstick for that ‘date night’ look.

For editing I used Adobe Photoshop CC 2018 - I brightened and levelled the photo while also adjusting the vibrance. I got rid of the unessecary background and the tape you can see holding the paper up. One thing I also got rid of was the piece of hair by the models ear, it was catching my eye too much.
